OFFICIAL RULES OF THE ROHNERT PARK FISHING DERBY

Please use common sense and courtesy and respect to others and your surroundings. Below are the "official rules" for you.

RULES

1.) All participants must register before fishing.

2.) The 1st Fishing Derby officially begins at 8AM-10AM (No fishing before)

     The 2nd Fishing Derby officially begins at 11AM-1PM (No fishing before)

3.) The Official weigh-in for 1st derby closes at 10AM ; 2nd derby closes at 1PM

4.) Casting competition will run during fishing derby hours for both derby's.

5.) Fishing boundaries are only on the west side of Robert's Lake. NO Fishing on Golf Course!

6.) Observe and respect other people around you.

7.) Alcohol or controlled substances are NOT allowed at this event.

8.) PLEASE PICK UP ALL TRASH AT THE END OF THE DERBY!

9.) Since we are having 2 fishing derby's this year, all kids entered in the first fishing derby CAN"T enter the second fishing derby. You can only enter in one of the fishing derby's.

10.) After the first fishing derby is over, please move off the shore to make room for next fishing derby kids. Thank you

11.) Parents may help kids, if needed. Try to let kids fish as much as they can.

12.) One fishing pole per child.

13.) All fish caught must be taken to the registration table for official weigh-in. Please weigh-in fish right after you catch them.

14.) All bluegills must be released back in Roberts lake after they are weight-in..

15.) Fish must be caught from shore or dock where access is permitted. Boats, floats and rafts of any kind are not permitted.

16.) Medals will be awarded at the end of each fishing derby. around 10AM & 1PM

17.) Winners need to be present to claim their awards.

18.) The biggest fish category will be determined by weight.

19.) Winners must be present to claim prizes from the raffle.

20.) Participants are limited to winning only one raffle prize during the Fishing Derby.

21.) All ties will be subject to a random drawing.

22.) All prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no other surrender value.

23.) All decisions made by event coordinators are final.

24.) The boy & girl that guesses on the registration form closest to the total number fish caught in the Fishing Derby will win a bike. In the event that there is a tie, then there will be a drawing to determine the winner.

DECISIONS AND LIABILITY

25.) Each participant, upon registering to participate in the Rohnert Park Fishing Derby, agrees to hold the sponsors, organizers, and event volunteers harmless from any liability of any nature and kind for any injuries and or damages suffered during or after the period of the Rohnert Park Fishing Derby.

26.) There is no minimum age for participants, however, all minors must be with a parent or a guardian at all times during the event.

27.) All participants agree to give the Rohnert Park Fishing Derby full rights for promotional or commercial purposes of their likeness in any photograph and or video taken during the Rohnert Park Fishing Derby.

28.) Participants agree to abide by the Official Rules and Regulations and agree that failure to comply with any of the rules will result in automatic disqualification, forfeiture of all prizes/recognition as a prizewinner.

29.) The organizers reserve the right to amend, add to, remove or otherwise change any of the rules and regulations for this contest, without prior notice, if it is deemed by them to be in the best interest of all parties involved in the derby.
